When the same bed set is advertised practically everyweek, The Name Game is an advertising tactic commonly employed to disguise the merchandise. By utilizing parts of, slightly different variations of, or alternate names for the same bed sets, the consumer never knows for sure if the item advertised at the same price week after week is, in fact, the same item.

For example, the "S Brand ABC II Extra Firm," may also be advertised as the "S Brand ABC," the "S Brand Extra Firm," or the "S Brand ABC II," etc., by one of the area’s largest discount bedding chains.  A similar bed set, from a well-known department store, might be the "XYZ II" (and all the variations thereof.)

The "800" mattress purveyors have an even greater advantage because there is no way for you to visually compare. You must take the word of a commissioned telemarketer.

A risk you should avoid.
